5/16" Chip Stone

Our 5/16" Chip Stone (also known as Pea Fill or No. 8 Stone) consists of small, angular crushed limestone fragments that have been screened for size consistency. Because these stones are angular rather than rounded, they lock together effectively to create a stable, walk-able surface that doesn't "roll" underfoot like pea gravel. This makes it an ideal choice for high-end walkways, garden paths, and as a decorative filler between flagstones or pavers.

Coverage & Weight

A cubic yard measures 3' x 3' x 3'. Before settling or compaction, one yard covers approximately:

• 50 square feet at a 6-inch depth.

• 100 square feet at a 3-inch depth.

• One cubic yard of stone typically weighs about 2,700-2800 lbs (1.35-1.40 tons).

Delivery Details

• Availability: Delivery is available Tuesday through Friday. Next-day delivery is available!

• Quantity: Minimum of 2 yards per order; maximum of 5 yards per truck.

• Restrictions: This product cannot be delivered on the same truck as other materials.

• Surface Requirements: Our delivery trucks must remain on paved or hard-packed surfaces at all times. This includes concrete, asphalt, and established stone/gravel driveways. We cannot drive onto grass or soft soil.

How to Order

1. Select Dump Location: Looking at your house from the street, specify if you want the load on the Left, Right, or Center of the driveway.

2. Choose Your Date: Select your preferred date from the calendar (this week or next, but not same day).

3. Add Delivery Notes: Provide specific instructions (e.g., "Dump as close to the garage door as possible").  If none, please type "none."
